ANA IVANOVIC ADVANCED TO 2R Ana Ivanovic proved why she is the tournament favorite and advanced to the second round of the Monterrey Open presented by AFIRME. In the most exciting match of Tuesday, Ivanovic dominated Polish Urszula Radwanska in sets of 4-6, 6-3 and 6-3 in front of a crowd that was constantly cheering her on. “It is always good to start a tournament this way, she (Urszula) is a very strong opponent and the last time I faced her I lost, so I am very happy I won tonight”, expressed Ana. Radwanska, an opponent who arrived to the match with a record of 2-1 in favor against Ivanovic, fought until the end but, despite her pain in her hip, it was the Serbian that managed to win with more than 3 million fans cheering her on.
